Since buying my very first computer in 1996 I have been fortunate to have had 15 years experience on the internet. After the first 6 months of 'playing', and downloading everything and anything ( as one does ) I started to take an interest in how things worked here on the internet.
Shortly after that I started to learn. Over the next few years I developed a keen interest in how things work on the internet, how sites were constructed and whether or not I could actually try and make myself a site. This was in the early days of Geocities.com who gave a person some webspace and a beasic template and let one play around to their hearts content. I didnt spend too much doing this however as in those days connectivity to the internet costs arounf 4 pence per minuite.
I was lucky to have chat programmes which gave me access to some very talented people from all over the world. They gave me advice, helped, and instructed me bit by bit, piece by piece and over the years I gradually became semi-proficient in the construction of a basic website. I also took online grahic creation courses and became totally involved with lots of online graphic creation groups, mainly through using the programme Paint Shop Pro, a programme which I still use to this very day.
Years came and went and I spent a lot of time building up my experience, trying new things to create, using new programmes such as Flash and Dreamweaver and its wasnt until 2009 that I had the chance to develop and create my first 'paid' site at Blair Atholl Golf Club in Perthshire, Scotland. I spent a LOT of time making sure everything was as the committee wanted and the club were thrilled at the finished product. The club website has undergone a few changes over the last two years and some 50+ pages have been created for the site in that time. In additon to the golf club site I also have two other sites that I created and am still web administrator for.
I offer my services to all businesses and private individuals. Here at AW Style you can view my portfolio and take a tour around and see if there's anything you see that you'd like more information on.
